HOME EDUCATION
/ PART SCHOOLED SESSIONS
About these sessions

Our Home Education sessions can take place at two locations depending on the seasons. We will be based at either our Ofsted registered activity centre at The Scout Hut, Newton, Hyde or our beautiful woodland site at Werneth Low Country Park

At Werneth low Couuntry Park, we have a base camp, Adventure Shack, and woodland with a shelter and play opportunities, and access to woods for exploration.

At The Scout Hut, groups have access to an indoor venue for sports and games, boulding wall, large outdoor area, fire pit and space to complete outdoor activites on a large field

Our sessions are participant led and non accredited, meaning we don’t work to a curriculum. However, we do deliver certificate courses in Junior Forestry, environmental awards, and out own bushcraft skills development programme, if young people show an interest.

Older young people, aged 12+, may be given an opportunity to join our leadership programme offering training and volunteering opportunities to work alongside us in the summer holidays. Once young people are 14, they may also be able to do recognised qualifications in lowland leaders and sports leadership.
