What is a DofE open expedition?
Nature Beanz Adventure is a DofE Approved Activity Provider meaning we can provide all aspects of expedition training including navigation, campcraft and care for the environment. We provide the technical expertise for practice and qualifying / assessment walking expeditions at bronze, silver and gold level. We can provide these expeditions throughout the UK. The qualifying expeditions are as follows:

Bronze (2 days walking with 1-night camping)

Silver (3 days walking with 2 nights camping).

Gold (4 days walking with 3 nights camping).
We can work in partnership with a school or youth group in providing training or practice expeditions, or independently with open sessions.
Bronze Expedition
The Duke of Edinburgh Awards Expedition section teaches a large range of skills such as teamwork, communication, leadership, navigation, camp craft and many more. At the Bronze level, you will learn the required skills to complete a 2 day (1 night) expedition being fully self sufficient.
